In Tim’s younger years he had ambitions of becoming a professional cricketer. He made it as far as the New Zealand Cricket Academy, the NZ Under-19 team, and the Central Districts Stags. After pursuing this for five years, it was time to ‘go get a real job’.
He was fresh faced with a full head of hair and a newly minted commerce degree from Lincoln University when he landed his first job at ASB bank in Nelson. He worked as a branch manager and then as a mobile lending manager, advising customers on risk insurance. Five years later, Tim moved home to Whangarei to co-found Zest Brokers.
Tim is a sports fanatic, namely cricket, basketball and running, so these are go-to topics if he won’t stop talking about his other main passions, insurance and business. Tim and his wife, Alice, live in Whangarei and are busy raising little Alfie, Pippa and Demi.
